Church coaching was not the first, primary mission of FLF. However, the board and staff have come to realize that churches without a missions’ pastor may find global mission trips a tall order on their own. The FLF church coaching program helps American churches develop and plan successful and effective mission trips.
Churches across the U.S. are heeding the call to send members to other nations to lead and serve. But in the process, they have discovered it can be overwhelming: they have to research, schedule and plan their mission trips, as well as coordinate vision, purpose and strategy for the trip with the leadership in the partnering country. Missteps in this process can be disastrous and even dangerous. That’s why they need a partner like FLF.
We have coached American churches through this challenging process, and learned many lessons along the way. Thanks to that experience, we are ideally situated to bridge the gap between churches who want go and the ministries who want them.
FLF’s church coaching program customizes a plan for a specific church’s needs for a specific mission trip. Our program:
- Helps church leadership choose a mission and set the vision.
- Makes contact with leaders in the overseas country to determine objectives.
- Trains leadership and trip participants.
- Sends FLF representatives on the church mission trip when needed.
