While the rest of the team — Greg Morrow, FLF Executive Director; Randy Fullerton, Director of Development; and Russell Martin, President of the Missouri Baptist Children’s Home — missed Steve’s presence, the remainder of the trip proved eventful in more positive ways.
The team arrived in Chisinau, Moldova, to be greeted by Ion Miron, General Secretary of the Baptist Union of Moldova, and joined later by Baptist Union President Nicolae Vozian, First Vice-President Igor Bandura, church planter Andre Khudyakov, and Danilo Oliinyk of the Ukraine Union’s music department. The four days of meeting – and dreaming – were spent discussing leader development needs in the areas of:
- Orphan care worker training
- Music leader training
- Pastoral leader training, and
- Camps for children with disabilities
Tentative agreements were reached on leader development initiatives for late 2018 and 2019.
The results of this vision trip to Moldova were beyond our expectations. We are grateful for all the prayers and support for the team during their time overseas. The Future Leadership Foundation continues to look forward with anticipation to further our core mission: developing Christian leaders globally.
